21 May 2026: Event in the NRW State Parliament “Digital Health Start-ups in Dialogue with Practice, Care and Politics”

On 21 May 2026, the non-public event “Digital Health Start-ups in Dialogue with Practice, Care and Politics” took place in the NRW State Parliament. Stakeholders from research, care, self-governance and politics discussed the future of digital health innovations and their integration into care practice.

The Gender-Sensitive Medicine working group of the Medical School OWL contributed perspectives on responsible AI, gender-sensitive medicine, patient-centred care and context-sensitive product development. The focus was on the question of how digital health solutions can be designed to be fair, practical and sustainable.

The event also underlined the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for socially responsible digital healthcare. Ute Wenning moderated.
