1 October 2026: Düsseldorfer Dialog
Health is not gender-neutral – and therein lies one of the great challenges of our healthcare system.
Whether in diagnosis, therapy or care practice: women still experience structural disadvantages – for example through insufficiently researched conditions, delayed diagnoses or care structures that pay too little attention to specific needs. Gender-sensitive healthcare is therefore not a niche topic but a central prerequisite for quality, fairness and future viability.
Together with you, we want to discuss how women's health can be brought more strongly into focus – and what is concretely needed to close existing gaps in care. Endometriosis deserves special attention here: a widespread condition that is often diagnosed late, and which shows by example where our system reaches its limits – and how care can be done better.
Against this background, the consortium coordinator of GenDiMedNet is taking part in this year's Düsseldorfer Dialog of BARMER North Rhine-Westphalia.
