Knowledge

We don't have the exact content yet. This still has to be planned with the science communication team. The idea is to build a kind of knowledge collection on the topic here.

  • A small glossary?
  • Gender-sensitive medicine (what is it?) (also in comparison to gender-specific medicine)
  • Historical overview
  • Why is it important?
  • Gender vs. sex
  • Example? E.g. heart attack and depression?
  • Gender data gap / gender health gap
  • Intersectionality (Turu)

The Key Points in Brief

Different disease courses

Women and men often fall ill differently. Many people don't know this yet.

Research for everyone

We investigate how technology can help — equally well for all people.

A large network

Our network connects 39 organisations and more than 100 researchers.

Why is this important?

Some diseases present differently in women and men.

For example: heart attack symptoms are often different in women than in men.

If doctors are not aware of this, diseases are overlooked.

We want to change that.
